Operating the stairlift couldn’t be easier thanks to a light-touch joystick or
optional rocker switch. You can even swivel the stairlift seat at the top of the stairs to get on and off easily and safely. The chair acts as a barrier to the top of the stairs for complete peace of mind. Rest assured our stairlift installers will show you all the features.

The stairlifts battery-powered motor ensures a smooth, stable ride as well as a gentle start and stop. The batteries themselves are constantly charged from points at the top and bottom of the rail and this, together with our unique battery reserve system, means the stairlift is always ready for use, even in a power cut.

Folding
The Curved Stannah chairs can be easily folded up when not in use. The footplate can be raised and lowered with a lever.
Easy use control
The stairlift directional control can be easily operated with finger tip or side of hand.
Easy use seatbelt
This can be operated with one hand, and there is the option of an immobilizer feature to insure it is applied before moving.
Immobilizer key
Prevents lift being used by young children etc
Safety edge
Should the footplate encounter an obstacle to the side or below, the sensor will stop the lift immediately
Tailor made rail
Stannah’s 260 rail is custom made to follow the contours of your staircase.
Optional Extras
2 way powered swivel
The chair turns automatically away from the top or bottom of the stairs if the user holds the directional control in that direction.
Powered hinge
If there is a door opening close to the first step, or an open hall, a folding rail section can be fitted to avoid causing a tripping hazard. This is operated by remote control.
Sadler perching seat
For narrow staircases, or clients with poor knee flexibility this perching seat option can be a solution.
Powered footplate
Curved Stannah models have a footplate lever as standard. If the user would prefer to have an automated version, a powered footplate can be fitted that is operated by a button on front of the armrest.
