Curved Inside Bend Stannah Stairlift with Siena Seat and Ivory Upholstery
We recently installed a curved rail Stannah with Siena chair and Ivory upholstery for a customer in Bushmills.
The staircase is partially spiral in shape, however by fitting the rail to the inside we ensured that the stairlift journey was kept to a minimum, and the handrails could remain on the outside.

This was an old house in Belfast with a curved staircase with 17 steps and landing run off opposite the main bedroom door.
The family wanted a safe and aesthetically pleasing stairlift for an elderly relative to use.
Our Stannah Curved Stairlift with Siena chair and Ivory vinyl upholstery did the job perfectly.
Curved Stannah Stairlift with Starla seat Seat and Stone Upholstery
In this instance we fitted our curved rail Stannah Stairlift around the inside handrail of the staircase. The lift features a 90 degree start and finish with a 180 degree custom bend in the middle, which allows the user to step off onto the middle landing. The stairlift came with Starla Seat with Stone Cloth Upholstery and light wood surround.

In this instance we were presented with narrow, curved staircase. Our client was not hopeful of a stairlift installation being feasible, however we carried out our Stannah photosurvey and provided Stannah’s drawing design office the user’s spine to knee measurements.
They were able to confirm that the stairlift would fit and that our client could use the lift safely. We fitted our Stannah curved stairlift with Starla Chair and red cloth upholstery with light wood surround.
Joymount Presbyterian Church
The committee of Joymount Presbyterian Church in Carrickfergus agreed that a stairlift would be a great asset for the older members of the congregation.
Olympic Lifts surveyed the staircase using the Stannah Stairtracker and quoted for a new and reconditioned Stannah 260. The decision was made to go for the latter.
As you can see from the photographs, the bespoke rail follows the contours of the stairs, and the Sarum chair folds neatly away in the hallway or landing when not required.
The lift can be locked to prevent misuse.

A barge that once carried coal supplies along Ulster’s waterways is back on the Lagan Canal for the first time since 1946.The Lagan lighter, built in 1871, is now moored close to the Lock Keeper’s Cottage in south Belfast as the first stage in a major restoration programme.
The Industry now houses an exhibition focusing on the history of the Lagan Navigation, the workings of the locks, and the living conditions of the lighterman and his family.
Olympic Lifts were delighted to be asked to install a stairlift in the Industry Barge in August 2014. We completed our photo survey in September 2014 once the inner stairs had been fitted and installed the lift on the 18th October 2014. As with all our curved Stannah stairlifts it was designed to follow exactly the contours of the stairs and park out of the way on the lower deck. This slimline design allows easy access for less abled and abled visitor alike.
